Fairfax, VA, September 20, 2000 - STG, Inc., announced it has been awarded a contract by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Office of Air and Radiation (OAR), to design and implement a pilot Response Management/Document System (RMDS). The contract is a one year contract valued at $700,000.
STG will validate system requirements, design and test the system, develop training material. STG will also perform integration, validate and implement the system and provide training and post-implementation support.
OAR is responsible for issues that affect the quality of our air and protection from exposure to harmful radiation. OAR develops national programs, technical policies, and regulations for controlling air pollution and radiation exposure. Areas of concern to OAR include: indoor and outdoor air quality, stationary and mobile sources of air pollution, radon, acid rain, stratospheric ozone depletion, radiation protection, and pollution prevention. The RMDS will be designed to handle congressional correspondence and will enable OAR to track their response and ensure consistency when responding to congressional inquiries.
