Fairfax, VA, January 3, 2002 - STG, Inc., a rapidly growing information technology, telecommunications, and security services firm, announced the award of a five year enterprise services Help Desk task with the Department of Commerce's Office of the Chief Information Officer (CIO). The work has an estimated value of $5 million over the five-year term of the contract.
Under the terms of the contract, STG will support the Office of the CIO by providing enterprise Help Desk operations to the users within the Office of the Secretary. Within the scope of this contract, Help Desk support also is being provided to other Department of Commerce offices and operating units that include the Trade Administration and the Bureau of Export Administration. This performance-based solutions contract supports the CIO's vision to consolidate IT enterprise support functions within the Department.
