STG Awarded IT Services Contract with Air Force Reserve Command

Fairfax, VA, October 16, 2002 ? STG, Inc., a government and commercial technology solutions provider, today announced the award of a GSA Schedule 70 contract to provide engineering, installation, operation, and maintenance services across 41 locations to support the Air Force Reserve Command?s (AFRC) operational mission. 

STG will provide comprehensive IT services to the AFRC bases under their AFRC Communications, Technology, Integration, Operations, and Network Support (ACTION) contract.  ACTION will help create awareness of the range of services, quick response, and ease of access that STG offers.  STG?s team of engineers will support critical initiatives like Microsoft Windows 2000 and email migration; and will also provide value-added services like network infrastructure upgrades; server and bandwidth consolidation solutions; and integrated network management and help desk services that will help enhance the performance of AFRC networks in diverse geographical locations.

Dean McKendrick, STG Senior Vice President stated, ?We anticipate that AFRC will realize immediate efficiencies from our ACTION contract?our performance-based IT solutions will demonstrably increase the effectiveness and reliability of AFRC?s IT and telecommunications infrastructure.?

STG?s initial focus will be at bases that require immediate attention and support.  Work is expected to begin after the October 23rd kickoff meeting.
