STG Promotes Phillip J. Foote to Chief Operating Officer

Fairfax, VA, March 6, 2004 -- Simon Lee, President and CEO of STG, Inc., today announced the appointment of Phillip J. Foote to Chief Operating Officer. In this capacity, Mr. Foote will have full authority and responsibility for the company?s daily operations encompassing all activities in the development and implementation of short- and long-range plans to achieve overall corporate goals. He will continue to serve as Executive Vice President, serving both as internal advisor and as company spokesperson.

Mr. Foote has more than 25 years of senior management experience spanning a broad range of engineering and information technology services.  Since January of 1999, he has served as Executive Vice President of STG, where he developed and executed the company's roadmap to diversify its client base, reorganize operations and accelerate organic growth, and position STG as one of the top prime government contractors in the Nation.

Simon Lee said, ?I am extremely pleased to announce that Phil has assumed this position. For the past five years, he has served by my side, co-managing STG. His significant accomplishments to date include the assimilation of three strategic acquisitions, enhancing operations and growth using lock-step processes such as Management by Objectives programs, ensuring customer and employee satisfaction by applying a robust ISO 9001:2000 quality management system , and assembling a tremendous senior management team capable of taking this company to the next level. This appointment confirms the success Phil has realized for the company in surpassing corporate objectives established when he came on board in 1999.?

Mr. Foote?s key initiatives in 2004 will include the company?s successful assessment of CMMI Level 3; relocation of STG?s operations into its new corporate headquarters in Reston , VA , and positioning STG for further high growth rates and synergistic acquisitions.

Before joining STG, Mr. Foote served as SVP at Sytel, Inc., and VP of Business Development for SIGNAL Corporation during its growth years exiting the small business program. He graduated from Loyola College 's Executive MBA program in 1989, and received his Bachelor of Science from Johns Hopkins University in 1986.  Prior to assuming senior leadership roles within the small business community, he served in various engineering and management positions for a multi-billion dollar, Fortune 50 technology conglomerate.
