STG Announces Cw5 (Ret) John A. (Jack) Hrubik Honored by the U.S. Army as Distinguished Member of the Signal Regiment
As Distinguished Member of The Signal Regiment

December 15, 2004, Reston, VA. STG announced today that employee Jack Hrubik was honored by the U.S. Army Signal Regiment at a ceremony that took place at the Armed Force Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) Fort Gordon Conference on December 2 in Augusta, GA.

Signal Commander Major General Janet E.A. Hicks inducted Mr. Hrubik into the Regiment and spoke of his lifetime achievements during his 39-year service to the U.S. Army?chiefly as a premier technician and advisor to his commanders and a mentor to Signal warrant officers in the commands that he served.

A Vietnam Veteran, Mr. Hrubik was specifically cited for his management of the Defense Communications Agency?s Automatic Digital Network Center at a threshold of 99.5 percent, an accomplishment never previously achieved by any European Automated Switch Center (ASC). During this period, the ASC won Autodin Switch of the Year and runner-up twice, as well as numerous 5 th Signal Command and maintenance awards.

In March 1993 until his retirement in April 1999, Mr. Hrubik was the Senior Military Technical Advisor to the U.S. Army Signal Command. In this position, he created and managed the Technical Quality Assessment, Assistant Chief of Staff G3, in the U.S. Army Signal Command, known now as NETCOM.

When the Army conducted its first promotion board for Chief Warrant Officer Five in 1992, the only signal warrant selected was Jack Hrubik. He was directly involved with the revamping of the Signal Corps Warrant Officer Military Occupational Specialty.

Mr. Hrubik continues to support the Signal Regiment at STG, where he serves as the chief liaison for the Fort Huachuca Army Base in Sierra Vista, AZ. STG is a $170 million IT solutions provider, located at 250 global locations. STG?s multiple contracts with the Army include the provision of information technology services and enterprise management associated with CECOM and NETCOM.

Mr. Hrubik?s awards and commendations include Legion of Merit, Bronze Star with Oak Leaf Cluster (OLC), Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal with 21 OLCs? and numerous other awards.
