STG Receives SEI CMMI Maturity Level 3 Reassessment

Reston, VA — May 31, 2012 — STG, Inc. (STG) has been reappraised as fully compliant at Maturity Level 3 with the Software Engineering Institute’s (SEI) Capability Maturity Model Integration for Development (CMMI-DEV) Version 1.3. This prestigious rating is conferred on companies that have established well-defined, repeatable, and effective organizational standards for project management, software engineering, and quality assurance while maintaining a focus on continuous process improvement.

“STG is committed to providing our customers with innovative, best-of-breed solutions that conform to the highest quality standards,” said Simon Lee, President and CEO of STG. “This CMMI Level 3 reassessment — in conjunction with our ISO 9001:2008 certification — demonstrates our quality commitment and is one of the reasons why the Government is turning to STG.”

Conformance with the process areas prescribed by SEI CMMI Maturity Level 3 was appraised using the CMMI Standard Appraisal Method for Process Improvement (SCAMPI). The SCAMPI method involves the examination of many types of evidence, as well as interviews with senior corporate leadership, sector managers, service center directors, program managers, quality assurance and configuration management personnel, and related organization and project employees in STG facilities across the United States to demonstrate that standard processes are being followed and continually improved. The evaluation was conducted by an independent SEI-authorized lead appraiser from Cyber Solutions, Inc., an SEI partner based in Centreville, Virginia.
