Sierra Vista, AZ — The Continental United States (CONUS) Theater Network Operations and Security Center (C-TNOSC) and Regional Computer Emergency Response Team (RCERT) were selected for the Cyber Operations Team of the Year award at the annual LandWarNet Conference Awards Luncheon in Tampa, Florida. With the Army/NETCOM’s transformation to Army Cyber Command, the Cyber Operations Team of the Year award follows the Theater NOSC of the year award, which the C-TNOSC/STG team won in 2010. The new award considers and evaluates the joint performance of TNOSC and RCERT. STG, Inc. (STG), headquartered in Reston, Virginia, has been the C-TNOSC prime contractor for the past four years.
Six worldwide Army TNOSCs compete annually for the coveted award. The winning TNOSC/Cyber Operations Team is selected based on the following evaluation criteria: 1) Availability of Communications and Computer Systems; 2) Effectiveness of Security Controls; 3) Effectiveness of Security Incident Response; 4) Effectiveness of Incident Management for Non-CND; 5) Organizational Effectiveness; and 6) Customer Satisfaction.
The C-TNOSC and RCERT mission is to operate, maintain and defend LandWarNet. STG supports the mission by providing management, administrative and technical support resources. Over the last 4 years, STG implemented an ITIL framework to support the operation of C-TNOSC. Information generated by the ITIL framework provides critical business intelligence to C-TNOSC leadership and to vital Army Commands that help support our deployed warfighters.
The subsequent use and benefit of the ITIL framework helped C-TNOSC win the 2010 Theater NOSC of the year award. The business intelligence produced by the maturing framework gives C-TNOSC leadership a comprehensive view of the entire LandWarNet Battle Rhythm and assisted the C-TNOSC/RCERT Government team win this year’s award for an unprecedented second time.
“STG has been providing innovative performance-based enterprise IT support services with a focus on superior customer service to CTNOSC and its customers since 2007,” said Simon Lee, STG President and CEO. “We are proud of the contributions and performance metrics STG provided our CTNOSC/RCERT customer and will continue to provide them the daily support they need to ensure mission success.”
