Reston, VA — October 10, 2007 — STG, Inc. announced today that it has won a single award contract from the Department of State (DoS) Bureaus of Resource Management (RM) and Information Resource Management (IRM) to provide support for legacy financial management, payroll applications, transition support for new systems, as well as support of the Department’s ePayroll initiatives. This five-year contract has a ceiling of $89 million.

“Team STG was assembled to bring industry best practices to our premiere client, the Department of State,” said John Barrass, STG Chief Operating Officer. “We will use our ISO 9001:2000-certified and SEI CMMI Maturity Level 3-rated processes to support the Department’s financial service operations as they move towards the next generation of financial systems and payroll systems.”
STG will leverage its 20+ years of continuous DoS experience to support RM’s migration of legacy payroll and retirement systems to modern platforms that will improve the user interface and provide system efficiencies. Under this contract, STG partnered with Bearing Point, a leading financial services consulting firm, to offer DoS in-depth support in its effort to enhance both financial and payroll systems.
“Having served at the DoS since 1986, STG understand the Department’s challenges and issues. We have the knowledge and experience necessary to perform on this contract,” said Simon Lee, STG President and CEO. “We are honored that DoS has entrusted us with this crucial mission, and will continue our tradition of exceeding expectations.”
