STG Receives $190 Million U.S. Army Contract
Army Taps STG to Provide Information Technology Services Support

Reston, VA — July 10, 2007 — STG, Inc. announced today that it has been awarded a 5-year, $190 million single-awardee indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract to provide information technology (IT) services support to the U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command/9th Signal Command (Army). STG will deliver enterprise-level command, control, communications, computers and information management (C4IM) common-user services in support of NETCOM/9th SC(A)’s mission.
Team STG — which consists of General Dynamics Information Technology, ZeNETeX and New Horizons — will support the Army, its Service Component Commanders and the Combatant Commanders’ IT infrastructure through the implementation of an IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) set of best practices. These services comprise requirements for network operations, systems operations, technical support, security management, process management and service support for both Sensitive but Unclassified Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRNET) and Secure Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNET) environments.
“STG has a rich history of past performance with the Army, including the Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) and the Army Research Laboratory (ARL),” said Glenn Davis, STG Senior Vice President, Defense Sector. “Using ITIL industry best practices, we will provide mission-critical IT support services to an Army organization entrusted to establish new IT capabilities that directly support the warfighter.”
Under this contract, Team STG will support the following NETCOM divisions:
Teammates were carefully selected to provide the balance necessary to ensure that all goals of this contract are met: General Dynamics Information Technology has been providing support to NETCOM for more than nine years; ZeNETeX offers a wealth of ITIL expertise and experience; and New Horizons specializes in IT training resources.
NETCOM provides centralized enterprise-level management over Army information systems, and is the single voice for Army network operations. The increased collaboration between ARL, ATEC and now NETCOM will improve the quality of STG’s enterprise support services though lessons learned on Army programs and initiatives.
“We will leverage our core competency in enterprise and IT infrastructure support and draw upon the resources of our teammates to provide unparalleled service solutions to NETCOM,“ said Simon Lee, STG President and CEO. “STG’s proven success on performance-based contracts and excellent past performance history with the Army show that Team STG is the right solution to support NETCOM’s mission.”
