STG Taps In-House Talent for Senior Management Position: Glenn W. Davis, Jr., Promoted to Senior Vice President, Defense Sector

July 13, 2005—Reston, VA— STG, Inc., a leading provider of information technology, technical security, engineering and scientific services support to the government and military, is pleased to announce the promotion of Glenn W. Davis, Jr., to senior vice president, Defense Sector. Davis, who previously served as vice president of STG’s Defense Sector Group, will report directly to Chief Operating Officer Phillip J. Foote.

STG’s Defense Sector, with more than 600 people and revenues of nearly $70 million, focuses on providing mission critical warfighter systems and IT operations for the Department of Defense (DoD).  The Sector’s core focus is to support the Army’s fighting soldier in Southwest Asia, who depends on STG-engineered mobile battlefield communication systems to broadcast tactical intelligence.  With access to more than 5,000 linguists, the sector also provides critical language translation, transcription and interpretation support to fight the war on terrorism.

“Glenn’s combination of talent and immense experience will continue to serve our company and this sector well,” said Mr. Foote.  He continued, “His track-record of delivering performance-based results for clients and his unwavering commitment to employee success reinforces STG’s overall corporate mission.”

“I am very excited to lead such a solid team,” said Mr. Davis. “I have the utmost pride in knowing that the support we give our DoD clients really makes the difference; and that we create a partnership rooted in principles and professionalism to assure we provide the quick-turnaround solutions necessary for them to meet their dynamic mission.”

Prior to serving as the STG Defense Sector’s vice president, Davis was STG’s vice president, Enterprise Systems Group and deputy sector manager. He joined STG in March 2003 where he served as operations director for Army Programs at the Army Research Laboratory (ARL) and Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC). At STG, his responsibilities rapidly increased to include the oversight and integration of support contracts with Air Force Reserve Center (AFRC), Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWAR), PACRIM/Korea and major segments of acquired companies.

Mr. Davis began his industry career as a site manager for Computer Sciences Corporation followed by management positions within Northrop Grumman. Prior to industry, he served as a career officer in the U.S. Army as an Infantry Officer.  His experience includes assignments on joint and combined staffs as a joint staff officer (JSO) and campaign and operational planner for U.S. Central Command and Combined Forces Command, Korea. His infantry assignments include various leadership positions within the 24th, 2nd, and 25th Infantry Division.

Mr. Davis holds a master’s in business administration from Webster University, a master’s of military arts and sciences in operational planning from the School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS), a bachelor’s of science in information management systems from University of Maryland and a bachelor’s of science in industrial engineering from Truman State University.  He also holds an active certification as a project management professional from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
